- Producers are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education every 2 years, including 3 hours of ethics. (Bail bonds also need these credits, and combo #1 will cover all the required hours)
- Resident Adjusters, Public Adjusters and Fraternal Producers shall be required to fulfill twelve (12) credit hours of Department approved education subjects, three (3) of which shall be in ethics subjects during each biennium reporting period
- Producers licensed for over 25 years only need 12 hours every 2 years, 3 hours must be ethics.
- Those newly licensed do not need to complete c.e. during the first renewal period.
- Credits must be completed by February 28, of every even numbered year. i.e. 2014,2016,2018,etc...
- Exams are non-monitored exams.
- Licensees may carry over a maximum of 5 credit hours (except for ethics hours).
- Courses are repeatable every two years.
- Licensees must turn in certification of course completion to the state by last day of February of even numbered years.
- Failure to comply with c.e. results in a 12-month suspension of license and a fine of up to $2000.
- Course provider reports course completion using the SBS online system, which a $1 per credit processing fee must be paid.
